800 runners celebrate Hong Kong's heritage every year on October 1 (VTP Challenge)

About Victoria to Peak (VTP) Challenge 2013
Victoria-to-Peak Challenge (VTP) is a unique race in many respects. With an elevation of nearly 400 metres from start to finish, VTP’s 10-kilometre hilly route passes many iconic buildings and offers runners an interesting and challenging course. The very fit will achieve times of just under an hour, the average runner under 90 minutes. The cut–off time is two hours.

Open to only 800 participants (a family team is counted as one participant), the race starts at 7:30am at Pier 9 at Victoria Harbour (next to Star Ferry) on October 1, 2013 and ends at the Peak Galleria on Victoria Peak. Children in the “Family” category join their parents on Bowen Road and run to the finish line for the next six kilometres.

The entry fee is just HK$310 per person and HK$520 per family. It entitles each race entrant to a runner’s post-race breakfast at Café Deco, a commemorative T-shirt and drinks en-route. All volunteers are also entitled to a post-race breakfast at Café Deco and a commemorative T-shirt.

Registrations for this year’s race are closed.
