Shanghai Diamond League
It seems Coach Wright has gotten his relay team into the Shanghai leg of the Diamond League series this weekend. I believe that's a first for Hong Kong. I don't think Chan Sau Ying or Maggie Chan ever managed it. The 4 x100 is not a Diamond League event, but the boys will be racing in the same meet with Bolt and Jeter and all the big names. Not bad.

Re: Olympic Team
A rumour this morning that the 4x100 team ran 38.47 in Taipei yesterday. That may improve their world ranking enough to get them to London. But there's still a month of qualifying to go.

Re: Olympic Team
Coach Wright is trying to get the relay team into the Monaco Diamond League meet. They are in Shenyang now for a training camp. They will move to Guangzhou next week and then to Europe until the Olympics.
But who will be our female selection? Alison?

Re: Olympic Team
According to the latest IAAF ranking, our 4 x 100 team ranks 4th in the world by country after Jamaica, US and Germany and 8th fastest time this year, what an achievement for a city with a population less than Guangzhou where we live for making money!
Re: Olympic Team
The HK 4x100 record is now better than the China national record.
