well done to organisers .it was a very well run event . plenty of support at key areas and plenty to eat and drink . Certainly take my hat off to the volunteers who were at the windy and cold locations on top ofhills but still managed a smile . I know some stayed until 11 at night !

Re: Greenpower 50k

I second that! Many thanks to the volunteers! Excellent organisation and a great day to be out on the trails!

Re: Greenpower 50k

Seems like a new record set at 3.39, anyone know the resuls yet ?

Re: Greenpower 50k

Peter, the results would be uploaded to the website of the organiser on 11 February 2010, after 6:00 p.m. However, I recall that last year, the results were not all uploaded to the website at the same time. They were uploaded, one by one, by categories. It took a few hours until all the results were uploaded. Don't know their arrangment this year.

Re: Greenpower 50k

I just know that the first 3 runners all beat the previous record: William Davies, Stone Tsang and Darren Benson. Superb run by all three!
It was a good day for running.

Re: Greenpower 50k

What I remember seeing from the board is that the first 3 runners in the 50k finished within one minute of each other (4:20-ish or so). Must have been a mad dash for the finish on those small and slippery trails, especially at the end. Great results... several other good records in team events also broken.

Organisation was great, but then mostly aligned for a hike. I still think this one doesn't go too well as a race, but then I am not a big fan of trail racing in itself... trail jogging ok, although my legs hurt horribly from the steps :-)

Re: Greenpower 50k

The one result on the website is 3 39 22 so if they all came in together then indeed it is a great result. I think the last record was around 3 45 or so. Bernie, your problem was you started at Parkview in the 25k at lunchtime.... The leading guys were already at Shek Oh ...... it works well as a race if you start with the leading pack. Of course back in the masses it can only be a hike.
