I broke my leg(tibia & fibula fracture about few inches away from ankle but no surgery) during soccer match 2 weeks after my debut FM at SCM. I was admitted to public hospital & treated with 2 months treatment of fiber cast. 1st month in full leg & 2nd month in half leg.
Started to walk with crutches(NWB) once the cast was removed. Then 100% FWB walking since mid May without crutch. Progress is really slow & painful. Knee & ankle are stiff in cripple way. Getting more painful(ankle-around areas but ankle was not broken) when more walking. Most difficult part is the up/down stretching of ankle or stepping down the stairs. Flexibility is maximum 90% performance of the normal leg. Dr/bone-setter/physiotherapist all said that it is due to tendon stiffness. Have been seeing different orthopaedic/bone-setter to assure that the bone was not twisted, except one bone-setter who said so. Seeing physiotherapist weekly & bone-setter daily now.
When seeing other physiotherapy patients with similar but more severe damage, 10 or more years older than you, but with faster recovery. You simply don't feel right ! Appreciate to hear any professional opinion or anyone having the similar experience with their recovery course !
